Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

We arrive in Delhi, India’s vibrant capital city, where a representative greets us at the airport and escorts us to our hotel. After check-in, we have time to relax after the journey. If we feel energetic, we can take a short walk around the neighborhood or visit a nearby market to get a first glimpse of Delhi’s lively streets and colorful culture. Later, we enjoy a drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s House), and other landmarks that showcase Delhi’s colonial heritage. This first day is kept light to help us settle in, recover from travel fatigue, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2: Exploring Old & New Delhi

Today, we dive deep into the history and charm of Delhi. We start in Old Delhi, visiting Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, and enjoy a rickshaw ride through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk, famous for its spices, jewelry, and traditional sweets. We also stop at Raj Ghat, the peaceful memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, we explore New Delhi’s highlights, including Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Qutub Minar, an impressive 12th-century tower. Driving past grand government buildings, we witness how Delhi beautifully blends Mughal, colonial, and modern architecture.

Day 3: Delhi to Jaipur – The Pink City

Today we drive to Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan, famously called the Pink City (approx. 5–6 hrs). Along the way, we see rural life, farmlands, and small towns that showcase the diversity of India. On arrival, we check into our hotel and relax. In the evening, we enjoy a guided walk through Jaipur’s colorful bazaars, filled with handicrafts, jewelry, and traditional textiles. We also get a chance to taste some local snacks. Jaipur is known for its royal heritage, stunning forts, and rich culture, making it one of India’s most beautiful cities.

Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast, we start our sightseeing with a visit to the majestic Amber Fort, perched on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. We explore its grand courtyards, mirror-adorned halls, and intricate architecture. On our way back, we stop to admire Jal Mahal, the beautiful Water Palace floating in the middle of a lake. In the afternoon, we explore the City Palace, a stunning complex of courtyards and museums showcasing royal artifacts. We also see the famous Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, with its honeycomb façade. Jaipur’s rich history and vibrant atmosphere make this day unforgettable.

Day 5: Jaipur to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri

We leave Jaipur and drive towards Agra (approx. 5 hrs), stopping on the way to visit Fatehpur Sikri, a former Mughal capital known for its red sandstone palaces and mosques. Continuing to Agra, we check into our hotel and relax. In the evening, we may visit Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden across the river Yamuna, for stunning sunset views of the Taj Mahal. Agra is home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites—the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort—both incredible reminders of India’s Mughal era.

Day 6: Agra to Varanasi (Evening Train)

Early morning, we visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, watching the white marble glow in golden light—an unforgettable experience. After breakfast, we explore the massive Agra Fort, which once served as the main residence of Mughal emperors. Later, we have time for shopping or relaxation. In the evening, we board an overnight train to Varanasi, the spiritual capital of India. The train journey is an adventure itself, offering a chance to experience Indian rail travel.

Day 7: Varanasi Sightseeing

We arrive in Varanasi in the morning and transfer to our hotel. After some rest, we head out to explore this ancient city on the banks of the holy Ganges River. We visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Important sites include Dhamek Stupa and the Archaeological Museum. In the evening, we witness the famous Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat—a mesmerizing ritual with lamps, chants, and music, offering an unforgettable spiritual experience.

Day 8: Sunrise Boat Ride & Departure

Early morning, we take a boat ride on the Ganges, watching pilgrims perform rituals on the ghats as the sun rises over the river a magical sight that captures the soul of India. After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Delhi or onward destinations. This marks the end of an enriching journey through India’s most iconic cities and spiritual heartlands.
